Embarkation officially commenced at 3pm at the Mayflower Terminal, Southampton. We arrived just before, dropped the luggage with a porter, and checked the car in with Andrew's Shipside Services, who take the car and drive it away for you from the drop-off point. Nice and easy, but at £30 for 3 nights, a bit more expensive than parking at Dover.

We were aboard within 15 mintues of arrival at the terminal and our bags arrived in the cabin not long after. Unpacked in a few minutes and set off to explore the ship before the Welcome Aboard Get Together with free bubbly in the Neptune Lounge. We sailed early at 4.40pm; last check-in was 4.30 so everyone must have been aboard well before then. 260 NM to Antwerp.
